Have you tried your spare remote?
The battery in your remote fob may be flat.To replace battery (I think it's a CR2032 type):-
1/ Open fob and remove battery.
2/ Clip fob back together (without battery) and press the unlock button 10 times, then the lock button 10 times to clear the fob's memory.
3/ Open fob, insert new battery and put fob back together. Don't push any buttons at this time.
4/ Go to car, make sure all doors, boot and bonnet are firmly closed.
5/ Lock and unlock the drivers door using the key.Do Not open the door.
6/ Press the LOCK button on the remote 4 times.
7/ Press unlock.
If you think the fob battery is O.K. just start at step 4.
If this doesn't work please post back with your cars year of registration and the remote keyfob type (e.g. lucas 3TXA, 17TN ), which should be on the back of the fob.
