Mend Rover 218 Diesel Engine

Turn off Rover 218 diesel?

My K reg Rover 218 diesel doesn't stop when I turn the ignition off - everything else goes off and there's a change in engine note, then I have to stall it - any idea's on the fault

screwed into the injection pump is a cylinder approx 30by50mm with a single wire attatched.remove wire and loosen/remove same.carefully withdraw and dont drop spring or plunger.clean spring /plunger and body hole with injector cleaner.reassemble,test by bat- to solonoid body/bat + to electrical connector ,plunger should withdraw into body with audible click.all good ?replace solonoid into pump.no click or plunger withdrawl?stop solonoid faulty,renew.
