Mend Singer EF718202 Sewing Machine Sew

my antique singer sewing machine doesnt sew!?

I have old singer EF718202 which doesnt use pedal but u press the stick with ur knee. recently after I cleaned and oiled, it doesnt sew anymore. the needle bar and the wheel moves normally but no stiches. I cant figure it out why. thanks . any advice will appreciate.

yes,it is drop in bobbin. but then I realize that the problem of no stitches are create, also start with the upper thread doesnt want to grab the lower thread. I turn the wheel toward me, the upper thread n the needle goes down but then come back up without grabing the lower thread. oh boy..

Hello Molly,
Sounds like you have a 201K with a drop in bobbin ? make sure you have a new needle in and make sure it is the correct way round, it is unlikely that will model will go out of time but it is possible, try that first.
