Diplomat ADP 8221 Doesn't start selected wash cycle?

Hi Gerry,I think this is an old Smeg machine that 4 or 5 buttons a start button and 2 lights.I expect yours is only showing 1 light.This has 'locked out'Take off the decor door.With power ON,turn the exposed timer shaft with pliers slowly clockwise until two lights show.You have now reset it and you can start a programme.It may be the heater is faulty or the air break on the right of the machine is clogged.You may need a new air break. part no. KIT22LTEC,they are reasonably priced.Hope this helps.
