Mend Hotpoint FDAL28P Dishwasher Fault

Wash light on constant amber?

I have a hotpoint FDAL28P. It powers on, and I press the start button, then straight away the wash button turns solid amber and the cycle doesnt start, in fact it does nothing? Anyone had this issue before?
