Hi I changed my alarm number and now I can set it with old and new number?! It not setting as my other half came home no idea on new number and it just beeping but did't set the alarm outside off?!

Hi my veritas8c alarm not working. Before battery ligh came up and I couldn't set the alarm, also my code didn't work.
I have changed battery, batter light turned green but 24h light flashing red and I still can't set up my alarm. Basically none of (full, part, prog, reset) buttons works. Any help? Thanks.

4321 and 1234 did NOT work for me (after power fuse went down) to silence alarm -- but after about 10 minutes it finally shut itself off -- i guess they figure if you haven't reacted to all the noise by then, you're dead

Brill forum you have been a great help as my veritas 8c started going off all the time and would not reset I just used the master code to reset the alarm and the allowed me to change it to the old code. Thanks all again. Steve in Leicester.

hi i have a veritas 8c alarm and my backup battery wasent workin so i bought a new one fitted it and iv had it in for 2 weeks now and when i remove thge power for the alarm to test the battery the power light still flashes does anyone know why this could be please i would be most greatfull if someone could help me through my problemb thanks paul,

had power cut last night now unset light flashing and is bleeping , if you stand still in hall the detector light stops flashing and thr bleep stops move and it picks you up and starts bleeping again but can not stop after putting in code ,
also the outside sounder is flashing all the time

my alarm also has gone caput but i found a number for them and they restore the whole thing new back up battery the lot for £120 their numbe ris 0800 3890185

We have a Veritas 8c that has been un used for years, had a power cut last night that set the alarm off but no code to reset the system.

Any help with the engineers code would be great.

just had a veritas 8c fitted on reading the user guide it says that after a period of time set by engineer ,the alarm will no longer reset and you have to have him out to reset this countdown timer ,anyone know how i can set this to x amount of years?

hi,

i have a veritas 8c alarm, its not completed fitted the panel is on the wall all the wires are there but needs wiring up, i am thinking is it worth getting this wired or should i install an new latest alarm..? are the veritas 8c alarms any good..?

Had a veritas 8 compact fitted new june 2006, worked ok till this wkend, when i put code in to leave my house its been making a different tone & not setting alarm, now its been going off for no reason, mains power lights flashing, think control panel battery may be Kaput? or is control panel blown? will not now accept my code or allow me to use master default code to re-set to my own code, have removed control panel battery,pulled fuse, alarm sounded for a few minutes then stopped, any help would be most appreciated Tel:07505802840 many thanks.

THE DEFAULT ENGINEERING CDE ON A VERITAS PANEL IN 1234, AND DEFAULT MASTER CODE IS 4321. YOU CAN SPEAK TO TEXECOM (WWW.TEXE.COM) AND THEY CAN PROVIDE TECH HELP

To change the user code you need the old one
Enter your existing 4 digit code
The Unset light will flash.
Press PROG
All the zone lights will illuminate.
Enter 6 0
All the zone lights will turn off.
Enter your new 4 digit code
Zone lights 1,2, 3 and 4 will illuminate in turn as each digit of the new code is entered.
Press PROG
The system will chime to confirm the new code has been accepted and all the zone lights will illuminate. Press RESET
The system will return to unset and all the zone lights will turn off.

If you dont know the code the system will have to be reprogrammed.
