Amana Model No. DRS2660BW?

My refrigerator goes for days with no problems then it will start to rattle and crackle as it goes on and off. This may last 1-2 days before returning to "normal" running. The noise is very annoying and can be quite loud. We have unplugged it for short periods of time and sometimes this seems to work. other times, not.
