my frontera wont start?

ive changed my fuel pipes changed plugs and leads sprayed every elec part. the car starts now and again. so what ever it is seems to be intermitant. ive read the haynes manual and coverd everything it says. the frontera is l reg 2.0l petrol.

does the engine still spark?remove king lead from distributor ,place end on engine and crank.no spark suspect crank angle sensor.still sparks suspect dist cap/rotor arm
