Maytag dishwasher door handle has broken?

I just had to replacr this item which I also found a very good parts supply website. www.repairclinic.com and if you have a white DW then it is part number 1266678. Remember this make sure it has the HANDLE attached.I would suggest calling to make sure they send you the right part.Give them the model number and tell them the color and they can help you. Once you get the part all you need to do is remove the inside doorcover by taking out all the screws along the outer edge. Lift it up and you will see the handle/latch assembly. Now here is what I did myself.instead of trying to pull the to electrical pieces out which I could not seem to pull them apart. You can take them off by pushing the two retaining clips that hold them in and just attach them back on the new handle/latch assembly. I am pretty machanically inclined so it was not that hard to figure out. I did not have a manual to read I just figured it out myself by looking at old part and new part. As they say measure twice cut once. meaning really think about it before you do it so you dont break the new part. Good luck
