Mend Fisher & Paykel MW511 Washing Machine Pump

fisher paykel mw511 washing machine?

Hi, our toploader is playing up i think its the pump as when i tipped the machine on its front to check, the fan under the pump would not move i managed to free it from the outside and it moves freely now and will work for a few minutes, i then get a slight smell of burning and the pump then stops not sure how to remove the pump to check if its blocked can you help.
will not turn the machine on again until i get your answer as i dont want to cause anymore problems.
