Mend Margherita CDE 12x Washing Knob Turning

How can I fix my Margherita CDE 12x?

My washing machine/dryer Margherita CDE 12x will not drain and the knob keeps on turning round automatically. I have tried putting it on the draining option but nothing happens except the knob will start to turn after a couple of minutes.
