my simpson washing machine will not spin?

Same problem with my 422 - no spin. Bob the fixer is right, it was the spin solenoid burnt out. Easy access through bottom, and only 2 bolts and 2 wires to remove solenoid. Now to find a replacement!!

There is a solenoid that pulls a lever to activate the spin operation check that the lever moves freely. Pull plug remove rear panel, solenoid is mounted at the front of the mechanism. Check that solenoid is becoming energised by timer. If not timer could be defective or wire loose. Check that the solenoid is not open circuit.

has anyone found anything out yet? mine is doing exactly the same thing and im down to NO TOWELS!! and very sick at the moment to head down to a laundromat :(

I know what you mean Deborah, as mine does the same. I am planning to find out by doing some investigation this week. I will post anything that I find out.
