How can I fix the automatic headlights on my Renault Clio?
I have an 05 Renault Clio with automatic headlights.....however they have stopped working......any ideas? I can turn them on manually but they should come on by themselves in the dark! any help would be much appreciated! thanks!
Turn the ignition on but don't start the vehicle.
Then turn the sidelights on and off till you hear a beep.
Your auto headlights will now be enabled again

Do you think this will work on a 2004 Chey Monte Carlo?

turn ignition on, but do not start engine, in my hand book it says pull headlight stalk towards you once to turn on,and again to turn off. this does not work, simply turn lights on and off twice you will hear a faint warning beeb to tell you the automatic function is armed.

If trying it with the key turned once or turnt fully doesnt work- try just switching the lights on and off twice without the key in the ignition

you need turn the ignition to acc ( the click before the car starts, when all dash lights are showing but the car is not running) or fully on ( engine running) and turn your lights on then off twice and you will hear a faint beep that means the auto headlights will come on when the light dims outside, which then tells the the sensor to switch on the lights if this does not work take to a dealer and they should do it for you free of charge if you explain this message to them.
