I just want to wish you luck. I wish I could help. I have the same problem with a 2003 Renault clio. It is just about to drive me insain. Little squiggly light comes on in the dash board and it runs funny. About once a month or more, it won't start, unhook battery, sometimes then it will start. Stranded is my middle name with this piece of crap. One honest mechanic told me most of my problem comes from the mechanisms in the gas pedal which was a fault in the manufacture of the vehicle. Other mechanics tell me I needed all kinds of new parts, which have not helped to this point. Others say I need a new computer, the honest mechanic says this won't cure the problem. He says he could replace the gas pedal mechanism, which gives the computer a false reading when it gets dirty and causes these other crazy things to happen to the car. But he says as soon as the new pedal mechanisms get dirty, the problem will be right back. The joys of the 2003 RENAULT CLIO.
