Do you mean wont drive forward or reverse or not start. If the former check temp with scanner, I suspect clogged filter switching off for a few minutes will enable drive again for a short time. Box strip to change, plus parts causing debris. The scanner gives an oil change due at x miles do not waste your money on an oil change if you have the fault described, it will not fix it. If reverse is ok and only forward is affected The band (1st&2nd) is partially broken.

Have you checked the transmission oil level and condition? If it's low it will overheat and, unlike most modern manual boxes, auto trans. fluid is considered a maintenance item and should be changed regularly.
