what is wrong wiv my immobiliser?

Is it the infer red type key ,if it is you need to check the batteries in the key ,then make sure the transmitter diode is soldered to the circuit board then you need to note down the key number which is inside the key,then you need to check that the button is soldered to the circuit board as well then put the key back toghter and press the plip ,does the red led light ,light up if it dont possable key fault ,if it does light up ,then you need to check the receiver for water ingress which is located in the roof where the courtsey light is,remove the receiver and check for water ingress if corroded replace it ,also you can check the key if you have a camera phone ,set the phone to camera mode then point the plip at the phone and press the plip if you see a white light the key is sending a signal hope this helps.
