whats wrong with my 01 renult clio?

Hello, I have had the exact same problem. It is water in your engine. Does your Electrical fault light come on? If so, I do not recommend taking it straight for an electrical reset. What I did to mine was dry it out for 2 days with electric heaters (maybe not safe lol) then looked under bonnett and all wires were bare. I have sealed all wires as much as possible and also replaced the ECG valve. There is also a little black block at the very back of your engine with electric sockets in and I have simple tightened this up with a Cable Tie. It has been working ok for about a month now and it has been raining quite heavily. I did need an electrical reset after all this which cost approx £60 but dont do this until wiring is sorted.
