how do i fix my monitors brightness and contrast?

how do i fix my brightness and contrast on my pakard bell monitor model number 900p?. im a student photographer and all my images look too dark on screen. i have tried usng another pc and ther is no problems, as a result of this i have over procsessd alot of my images;(please help!
