i have a packard bell sliw view 517 and da blue lead is broken?

sorry but it really bugs me
any way is the blue wire the usb lead or the monitor lead as it has two
if it is the monitor lead try and use an old lead from a crt monitor with the same amount of wires and use a multimeter to check you have all the wire in the right order
if it is the usb lead then just get a usb hub
they are only a few bucks and have better quality filter built in
