Mend Indesit Broken Managed Machine

How can I fix the broken handle on my Indesit WD12S?

I've managed to break the handle on my Indesit WD12S washing machine. I've located the source of a new handle but can anyone tell me how to fit it? And in the meantime does anyone know how to get the door open as my son's sports gear is stuck inside?

Hi, i have a similar model WE12 with a broken handle, which i haven't replaced yet !
To get into the washer, i used a normal metal food knife to lever the door open. if yours is the same as mine, then there should be a vertical slot to the right of the lever mechanism, which you can get a knife down. you can lever this open ( you may need to pull the door towards you as well )
