Mend Janome 8000 Work Help 1994

Memory Craft 8000 doest work?

Hope you can help me. I have a Memory Craft New Home 8000 that I purchased in 1994. This machine was only taken out the the box once and was never used again. I just took the machine back out of the box to plug it in because I was going to let a friend use it and the machine would not turn on. Nothing! I have read the instructions and all we wanted to do was a simple straight stitch and no power at all. And yes I checked the plugs. Can you please help me.

Hello Laura,
There may well be an anti surge fuse inside the machine near where the plug goes in, I can't remember if the bottom comes off that machine or not but if it does take the bottom off and look near the plug or board for a very small fuse.
