To fix the speaker...You have to remove the window winder handle, it is held with a small spring clip which is undone by sliding a flat scewdriver in behind the handle...if you turn the winder so it points downward you will see the clip from above, now push down on the clip and slide the handle off.
Next you will need a large cross head screwdriver to undo the two screws holding the inside door handle, and remove it. The door card is held on by a number of "popper studs", you can use a flat, plastic or blunt item to slide in behind the door card, or just prise it with fingers untill one stud comes undone, then work around the doorcard one stud at a time taking care not to bend it too much...when all studs are popped off, the speaker can be removed using cross head driver you took the door handle off with...three screws later you will be holding the speaker thinking what now?First, check the block connector by unclipping it, press the release clip and pull apart, look for loose, damaged connectors etc and also check the wires on the speaker itself.If possible, get one from a scrap yard for a few quid (you now know how to get it out!) and try plugging it in, mines was crackly then dead the next day, no apparent reason, picked up a 2nd hand one and it was fine.As an afterthought, try adjusting the balance of your speakers to make sure it is dead!
