Replacing a key usually consists of 4 parts: The key itself, two hinge parts which interlock, and the rubber thing in the middle. The rubber should be securely placed in the centre and the hinges should interlock and clip into the metal catches. The key should simply clip onto the hinges by pushing the key down onto the hinges.
