Mend Burglar Alarm Battery

Thanks, I have just fixed my burglar alarm by pulling off the battery wire?

I have just fixed my burglar alarm buttons via this method after a power cut however my light at the front is still not flashing. Is there anything i can do to fix this or will the bulb possibly have blow because of the powercut.
