how can i stop the freezer alarm from going off?

my alarm on our american fridge freezer has been going off for 4 hours and we cant seem to re-set the audible noise, it just keeps bleeping
whirlpool side by side fridge freezer about 6 years old

Oh dear another whirlpool customer! Ive had TWO both had same problems with the alarm going off,my advice DONT BUY another Whirlpool
