Mend Rover 416 Started Light

overheating?

My rover 416 started overheating today there is light brown stuff coming out of the expansion tank and my oil light is flashing, i let it cool down and filled it up to get 7 miles home and it was boiling again when I stopped any suggestions.
This is a r reg with 48000 on the clock, first time it's happened.

Hi Margaret,

The problem is the head gasket. You have to take the car in automotive garage. But to repair the gasket is not so cheap and will be around 350-400 pounds.
