Mend Prima F 40 Boiler Thermostat Control Panel

heating will only come on if the ext water option is selected?

the heating will only come on when i select the ext option form the control panel,when the ext for the hotwater is off and i try to put the heating on i can hear the thermostat click but thats it,the boiler will not fire up, there seems to be no activity coming form the boiler,, can anyone help please ???
the boiler is a old prima f 40,

It sounds like you have a valve problem in your airing cupboard, if you have 2 zone valves then the ch one is not switching, if you have a 3 way valve, then it looks like the microswitch on this is not operating, either way it seems as though the valve is opening so you will most likely only need to replace the operator (actuator)
