HONDA FIRESTORM 996cc TURNING OFF FUEL PIPE?

I HAVE A STORM AND THERE IS A FUEL TAP BUT ITS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TANK, JUST UNDO THE TWO BOLTS AT THE HEAD STOCK END AND THEN LIF THE TANK UP AT THE FRONT.YOU CAN THEN TURN THE TAP WITH A PAIR OF PLIERS ETC.

thanks busaboy you are right about the fuel tap there isnt one cheers for the info as uv saved me some hassle tryin 2 find it :)

Is this bike not fuel injected so it will not have a fuel tap.
Most jap bikes in the last decade dont have fuel taps cause they have a fuel pump in the tank. I have not worked on a firestorm but being a big v twin i'm pretty shure it will have a pump in the tank.

thanks wireman you answered my gfs question an all about da mini moto ty. ye iv looked all over for the knob thing i was sure itd be near carburrettor but no joy so far il look where u said tho in a bit. Yeah ur prob rite with the fumes but i do have window open ajar all day and night so its not filled up it just stinks but ye i def need 2 sort it out thanks neway m8 , Daz

should be towards the rear of the tank never known a bike to not have one some old bikes (Triumps) had 2 one either side turning the tap from vertical (I) to the horizontal (-) should turn off the fuel
