Mend Featherlite Gas Weed Lite

brand new gas powered weed eater,starts and then shuts off.wont keep up?

Brand new weed eater/feather lite starts but shuts off when i try to give it gas.revs real high then shuts off.

Check your in-tank pick-up filter. Perhaps you are getting foreign matter in the tank; tip the tank out for a look. If it's cr*ppy, it might be your fuel container has dirt in it, being carried thru as you pour the fuel into the tank. My recently bought trimmer had a hardened/cracked fuel line at the grommet into the tank. Perhaps some of the parts are not all as young/new as the rest.
