Mend Whirlpool WED9200SQ Dryer Repair

HOW DO I REVERSE THE DRYER DOOR ON MY WHIRLPOOL DUET DRYER?

How do I reverse the door on my whirlpool duet dryer model # wed9200sq. I understand a kit exists p/n 8579666a but I'm wondering how dificult it is before I tackle it myself. I am handy however learned the hard way to ask first!

I forgot to stress that you WILL need the door reversal kit. Mine currently has a hole where this piece will go once it comes in...

I just did mine on my duet dryer. I had to remove the door, then remove the door inside metal piece, then swap sides on the hinge and swap sides on a couple (two or three) plastic pieces. In total, I had to remove and replace 5 door hinge screws and about a dozen other screws. None of the screws were in very tight. I would recommend being very systematic on what screws and pieces came from (and go to) where.

Hi Bob,
I am in the process of doing the same on my Maytag Bravos. The Owner's Manual explains it in detail, so you may want to check yours as well. It's not that hard to follow, your'e just switching the screws to the opposite side. The only difficulty so far is in removing the door strike. Mine does not want to budge so I'm currently stuck. Hopefully yours will remove easily.
