Mend Whirlpool Only Out Cold Air

Whirlpool only blows out cold air?

My whirlpool tumble dryer is an older mode purchase new in 2000, suddenly it's only blowing cold air, i've cleaned the filters and tried the reset but mine doesn't have a setting at 6 o'clock so not sure where it should be pointing to do the reset, could anyone help please or is it time for a new one?? Thank you

If older model could be heating element has failed. Unplug remove back panel and if older mod probably has element embedded in aluminium casting, looks like a radiator if you get it out , before that check the 2 thermostats attached to it are not burnt out, then the continuity across the element tags with wires off. I,m guessing which model you have hope this makes sense. Cheers
