whirlpool awd7913 dryer DEAD?

This dryer failed a few months back after very little use, but out of warranty. I' ve put a meter on it to check that I have 240v to the board and its got power. I've checked the water tank switch for continuity at the plug on the board and thats good. Door switch good. I've cleaned the little sensor ??? in the fluff filter area by drum, tested on ohms scale. Nothing. Maybe that makes when its too hot ?? As an ex bt engineer I can usually fix most things but not this one. I've got NO lights - nothing. I've opened up the control board and it looks good- no burn marks, blown caps etc all clean. Can't even get a schematic diagram for it. Any suggestions ???
