bobbin thread clogs up?

Hello Shirley,
First of all click the button over as if to wind a bobbin and make sure you do not have any thread caught around the winder area, if you have this will cause the winder not to disengage properly and start jamming, if you are happy that it is clear I know it may sound obvious but check the threading up again making sure you have the presser foot up when you thread the machine, failing all that you may need to retime the machine which is quite a common fault on Singer, you can do it yourself if you want to attempt it or take in for repair, open the slide plate and hold the two threads to the back lightly and turn the balance wheel towards you by hand and see if the threads clear the bobbin case, if they do not then timing is the answer, drivewithken@blueyonder.co.uk
