Mend Singer 347 Sewing Machine Needle Foot Pedal

How do I raise the stuck needle in my baby blue Singer model 347?

I had just finished sewing, clipped the threads, and was getting ready to unplug the machine, when I accidentally touched the foot petal and it sewed a couple of stitches without any cloth in it. The needle stuck in the down position and I cannot get it to raise up even when turning the wheel. What could cause this and how can I get the needle raised again?

needle bend at bottom in bobbin case? use side cutter to cut needle and remove piece by piece.make sure everything is removed and try hand wheel again.when last did machine had service or little oil on hook?

More pressure on hand wheel in reverse direction. or rock hand wheel back and forth
