help needed for my hotpoint aquarius 1200 deluxe?

thanks hotpoint man it is the belt is there an easy way to put a new belt on (my hubby trying now but not getting very far ) cheers fiona

When you turn the appliance on, after it has filled up, can you hear the 'whirring' of the motor? If you can your belt may have come off. If you cant, the jumping about caused by overloading may have pulled the power plug (7wires attatched) out of the motor.
Have a look and let me know.
