Zanussi Jetsystem 1200xc Washing machine. Urgently help if you can please?
Please help! We have a Zanussi Jetsystem 1200 XC washing machine (F.J.S. 1225w), our warranty of 5 years ran out a while back but we have never had to have a call out or any repairs done to this machine, it has been an absolute darling. We clean it regularly and look after it well! However, in the last two weeks it has been moved three times by our work men who are refurbishing our property, it hasn’t been moved far though, just 7 to 8 yards. Both of the previous times they put it back it worked properly but on this occasion it doesn't. We switched it on its cotton wash programme, which has a 1200 full spin and the wash cycle is 52 minutes and displayed on its LED. However, it started making some funny noise (like a combi boiler coming on but 10 times or more louder!). When we checked the washing machine appeared to have stopped at 37 minutes and the washing machine had water in it, all though we pressed the 'pause/start' green button, in order to pause it (this button usually lets us open the door of the washing machine), it didn't. And the usually green light on the door is now orange/red, we are therefore unable to open the door. We are really concerned about this. We have rung the 'site manager' for our refurb and informed her of the problem, she has suggested that we just switch it off and at the mains too. We do not know how to proceed with this and our washing machine although nearly six years old, looks immaculate, is clean inside its nuts and bolts! Never had a problem with it, in all of these years, we have not had to call Comet (where we bought it and our subsequent warranty) nor Zanussi for any parts or problems. We love this machine, we are totally distraught. We do not want this refurb organisation to fob us off either, they have already caused so many other problems! We are seeing the site manager tomorrow morning 8am and so want to be armed with options. Any advice and also any Zanussi experts and/or lovers out there? Should we just see a solicitor?!
