Mend Volkswagen Passat 1.6 99 Passenger Door Lock

Removing the rear passenger window glass?

I need to replace the right rear door lock on my 99 passat 1.6. All I have left to do is remove the glass so I can remove the lock, but I do not know how to remove the plastic bolt thing from the base of the glass, it seems to go through the glass and I have no way of removing it, anyone please help.

My 2004 passat wagon has a large rubber circle towards the base of the door (visible after the panel is removed). Pull out the rubber circle, put the window all the way down. You see the plastic bushing.... There is an inner and outer. If you don't want to fish for the inner piece you need to put something through the hole and pull it towards you. Then do the same with the outter piece. Hope this help.
