How do I fix my Ariston Dishwasher, model LS 605?

When I open the dishwasher after it has finished its cycle the dishwasher tablet is still in the dispensing unit.How do I fix this problem?

Sounds like the solenoid that opens the tray has failed, or it's not receiving a supply. I think new items are available for about £40.
