My Vokera combi boiler will not ignite?

i agree with joe waldron. i had same problem and you are also right about loosening the screws to allow air in and it will ignite. make sure either replace the fan or remove the fan blade and wash it using small blade screw driver remove the debrie stuck in between the fins. i know you have left it for long enough with service about ten years come on would live without wash for a week? i replaced my boiler fan and it works like a dream. it use to cut out and i had to wait 3 minutes befor it would ignite cold showers.

can anyone help i have a vokera boiler which the light keeps going red all time i have no heating or hot water as it only stays green for a couple of seconds

My Vokara combination boiler problem with the Hot water? it runs very slow from the taps and the boiler keeps cutting out?The central heating part works fine.Water pressure is also Good.
Please can you advise to the problem Many thanks

hi john having worked on vokera boilers for some years and are familiar with the mynute range you need to remove the fan assembley and where the single or twin metal tubes leave the flue outlet ,called the venturi tubes you will find that debris has collected in these tubes causing a restricted pressure for the air pressure to operate. remove both or single tube and clean thoroughly including the fan blades. this should sort your problem if not replace the air pressure switch. let me know how you got on

check the flue for any obstructions or damage fainging that try the air pressure switch and fan

I have checked that all connetions are sound and boosted presure to 1.5 bar. The egnighter only seems to activeate when I bang top right hand corner of combi or remove the steel plate whith the small glass window, its realy strange as soon as the steel cover is opened slightly it egnites(p.s not the outer cover the stainles steel cover behind it. Please help before I bang my head of a brick wall.

the heating section is a room sealed unit so its not the air that you are letting in. I would check that all the connections are sound and is there enough pressure in the system (1 to 1.5 bar)
