Mend Kohlangaz KSN Gas Fire Pilot Lights

How can I fix my Kohlangaz KSN gas fire?

I hold the pilot light in, it lights, the gas builds up and the fire goes on. After about 30 seconds there is a click and the gas supply stops and the fire goes out. Tried several times the same thing happened. Is there a way that I can rectify this problem? Please help as soon as you can, as the fire is the only heating in the front room and we have a week old baby. Many thanks.

hi Shane, I too have a kohlangaz gas fire with a simular problem (goes out when it wants) our fire is one which has pebble things on. When we take off the pebbles the fire stays on as long as the fire is not turned up full. I have phoned up our gas engineer today (got answer phone) he should be able to mend ours. As soon as he has I shall write to you to tell you what he has done.. I know how frustrating it is when it keeps going out.
