how can I get the bearings out?

oh no not bearings again? yes there a real pain, when there tight, i use a good tool for this job its called an "F B H" or if you like, but they wont print it? a fu**ing big hammer! but make it a copper headed one if your going to be beeting on a shaft, on my wh63 i used a 9lb sleg and a steel drift to bash them out!!! and it took six hard wacks to move them too, but i got them out! so dont be thinking there not going to move, they will if you hit them, and if you cant hit them out how meny tons will you need to push them out???? 100 more?? yep!
so hit them! with a good steel drift ,back one from the drum end frunt one from the back end, but dont try to fit new bearings till you have cleaned out the seatings with whire wool
and new bearings dont have much greace in them(if any) and there the zz type but with cear you can hook off the covers and push in some water proof grease then fit the covers back on befour fitting them and they will last five times longer if you do this, call me tight if you wont but i dont like this through away idear and sealed for life, coz its to dam short a life! thats why theres no grease in them! also clean the shaft coz the seal is only the one lip kind! manky that is! it should have two,
so clean the bit that it now runs on, its the little brass bit near the drum end! that will have two big ridges on it, grease this too,befour fitting it or the seal will burn up fast and start to leak again, washing any grease out the bearings, thats not in them in the first place,! trust me on this bit, when you come to fit the new bearings, DONT HIT THE MIDDEL BIT only round the sides, with a good steel drift or big socket that fits only the out side of the bearings, there two difrent sizes, drive them fully home (like wack them back in again) then very gently tap the seal in (flat side facing the frunt of the machine) just incase you forgot by now! only tap the sides of the seal dont wack it coz it will bend then it will leak, and the big pully on the back is ally, so dont cross thred it and do it up tight and flog up the steel nut or it will go flying across the kitchen floor one day, and it wont do the dog much good when it smacks him in the head!!!!!!! so there you have it! best of luck with the job, mind you you can get a recon machine for about £160.00p is it all worth it??????

what I do is using a long sturdy flat screwdrive (or other tool ) place it into the bearing housing from the front to catch the lip of the rear brg and give it a good belt all the way round untill it drops out then repeat the procedure on the front bearing from the rear
