Bought a techwood AEDVDRS7 DVD recorder live in Gibralatar is it compatible?

I have installed the above have tuned all the channels I can see these perfectly but can not hear any sound. I have been told it might only work for UK, but an adjustment can be done to get it to work. Can you please advise. Kind regards.

The key difference in the TV set up around Europe is where the sound sits on the spectrum. As far as I remember Gibraltar uses the UK setup. As you don't say where you are its difficult to comment further.
