My Techwood freeview recorder freezes and skips on playback/recording?

My Techwood freeview recorder with hard drive has started to freeze momentarily then skip when playing back. Also if I try and record a programme and I am also watching another programme at the time, the picture I am watching does the same thing. The Freeview part works OK, I only have problems when recording and on playback. Any ideas?

Techwood Video, DVD Players Hard Drive Started

Haveing the same problem seems to be commom to this model and others simular rebached models from this company but the same unit, this problem has only started since the lastest digital change over and for people recieveing signal from winter hill will need a software upgrade from the makers but none as yet sorry this is not help as such but your not alone.

I have self same problem, Techwood box worked perfectly prior to Freeview retune on 2 December, my location Wirral. Suspect problem may be due to change of specification in how stations are now being broadcast. I also have a Humax PVR which doesn't exhibit this problem.
