IBM 600e error 00161 00163 replaced cmos no response?
I have a IBM 600e error message 00161 & 00163 replaced CMOS battery has manual states, check voltage of new battery ok at connector, still will not boot up, F1 doesn't work either, pleasde help
I suggest that you download a Hardware Maintenance manual for your model of ThinkPad (you don't say which it is) from www.lenovo.com. (Lenovo own all of IBM's PC assets now.) Then work your way carefully through the diagnostic procedure. If you get stuck put a new post on here.
