A agree with Peccavi.

The message is NOT an error, but a warning.

Take a look at the various files that you have accumulated.
Take a quick look. There is probably some that you no longer need or want. You can delete some.
Look at those you want to keep.
Take most of them and fill one or some DVDR with them. Check that they have been correctly saved.
Double files finding applications are great for that. They can check that your archived files are indeed identical to the original ones. :)
Delete them from your drive. That will liberate some place on the drive.
Keep the DVDs in a safe place. (cool, dry and dark for the best media life)

Any programm or application that you no longer use? You may uninstall some.

Periodicaly, do the following (about once a month):
Launch the "Disk cleanup" utility.

About once a week, run the disk defragmenter.

Take a look at the icons next to the clock on the task bar. Chances are that at least some are not needed.
Right-click those that you don't regularly use and uncheck "Start with Windows" if this option is present.
If not, sellect "Properties".
From there, search for startup options and disable "Start with windows" or "Start automaticaly" or something similar.
DON'T do that for your antivirus programm.
Also, don't touch the Network icon, it's needed to go on the Internet.

Idealy, you should be left with 3, maybe 4, icons: Sound, AV and Network. You may also have one for some communication sowtware that you may need.

It's "pretend" memory - on the disk. Either you have too many programmes running at the same time each of them using up memory and/or your virtual memory setting is too low.

Run fewer programmes and/or adjust your virtual memory setting on your machine. Typically 1.5 to 3 times the size of the RAM in the machine. i.e. you have 1GB memory then you can set your virtual memory to between 1.5GB and 3GB.
