A COMMON PROBLEM , I BELIEVE IF YOU DROP THE GLOVEBOX - BEHIND IT IS AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR PLUG DISCONNECT THIS PLUG AND YOU ARE LEFT WITH A SOCKET HELD DOWN BY A PLATE WITH 4 SCREWS. UNDO THESE SCREWS AND RETRIEVE THE PLATE. ON THE REVERSE SIDE ARE THREE SPRING LIKE RESISTORS IN SERIES ONE OF WHICH WILL BE BROKEN. IT IS A VERY POOR DESIGN AND FRAGILE. YOU NOW HAVE THREE CHOICES
1-REPAIR THE BROKEN RESISTOR WITH SOLDER (IT WILL PROBABLY LET YOU DOWN AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE)
2-REPLACE THE RESISTOR ASSEMBLY WITH NEW/SECOND HAND. (YOUR LOCAL SCRAP YARD MAY HAVE SOME BUT USUALLY THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAKEN)
3-MODIFY THE RESISTOR WITH NEW RESISTORS FROM AN ELECTRONICS STORE. I HAVE HEARD OF THREE 1 OHM 10 WATT WIRE WOUND RESISTORS (MAPLINS) SOLDERED ON IN SERIES AS AN EFFECTIVE MOD. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN ALL THE OLD RESISTORS AND SOLDER OFF FIRST TO GET A GOOD CONNECTION
HOPE THIS HELPS
