Drum seal to door hoover new wave 1200F?

Don't even consider trying to fit a new seal if your machine has a 'one piece' body ( no removable front panel ) I have just spent 10 hours removing the drum - fitting the new seal ( 5 attempts ) and re-building the unit, only to find that as I tried to fit the outer flange to the units main body.... the seal fell off the drum !!!
Get the seal fitted by somebody else and good luck.
My local washing machine expert won't even look at this job !
