My Hotpoint Aquarius extra washer dryer exractor pump is not working?

first switch off your machine! remove all screws from back panel. at thge bottom you will see the pump on the right connected to a grey outlet pipe and a black pipe. remove the black pipe make sure ther is no water in machine! if there is rest the machine forward so as much of the water is away from the hose you are about to disconnect inside the black hose you will find a coin trap which will proberly be blocked with a small sock or somthing.

you dont say what model so if there is a filter it will be at the front possibly under the kickstrip check the large hose from the drum to the pump is clear and if the waste pipe is connected to the waste on the sink remove it and check that the hoes and the drain is clear also check that a button or 5 pence has not got through the pump and is blocking the hose where it joins the pump and that nothing is jamming the pump
