Hoover performa 1100 washer dryer has started 'sparking'?

when washing machine drum is turning an electrical 'buzz' can be heard and sparks appear at the bottom of the machine...could this be the brushes???

I am a service engineer for hoover candy.
The sparks are caused by the brushes wearing out.

Just get a set of brushes. £10 approx. Dead easy to fit. 10 minute job.

Hi I had that problem with my machine too. It was the motor, something had worn away or something and was causing it to spark. I had to get a new motor put in and thats fixed it.
