Mend JVC JX-S333 Power Turn Open

Power will not turn off-#JX-S333?

The power will not turn off. I have tried to turn off the dubbing, but nothing happens there. I tried unplugging. Didn't help. The dvd holder will not open. The VCR will not play. This is a JVC dvd/vcr combo.

You are soo smart!!I called the factory and that was the answer they gave me. It was still under warrenty and I sent it in. Thanks a bunch.

Most likely a chip has got static in it so it 'frozen'. Try turning it off for a day leaving it earthed - ie turn of the switch at the socket but leave it plugged in the socket. Otherwise it may need servicing, check if its worth the cost though.
